Owner, manager, and head trainer, Sami Savage put her feet in the stirrups at age six in Chester, VT. She started competing western in team penning, roping, and sorting. Sami soon started traveling and training to Ocala, Florida in the winter months to train in dressage and eventing; training with Eline Eckroth, Gunnar Ostegaurd, Jon & Jenn Holling, Peter Atkins, Jessica Van Eyck, and Judy Oliver. In 2012 Sami received her USDF bronze medal. Recently in 2016 Sami received her USDF silver medal. Sami and her horse Choice are now working towards her gold medal! Sami has also competed and placed in the region 8 champions numerous times.
Along with competing at the FEI dressage level Sami is now starting to be more competitive in western dressage. Recently in 2019 receiving senior western dressage champion at CVDA.
Sami is highly experienced working with children, but she is dedicated to passing on her knowledge and teaching students of all ages.
Sami starts young horses correctly and offers advanced schooling at a competitive level. Through groundwork, stable management and a clear training program under saddle, she is able to achieve harmony and success for both horse and rider. Bring your horse for a few fine-tuning sessions, or trust him/her to her for a longer period of time for competition.
Sami maintains the horses in prime condition by combining a nutritionally balanced diet with tranquil surroundings and skillful, consistent handling.
